Gareth & Claire’s wedding was at the end of December and brings me up to date with all my editing! Wohoo!
Lovely couple, here’s a few photos:
Usually like to do a flower photo outdoors – but not possible due to some rather wintry weather! But I really like the carpet background in the photo below:
A wee bit of history being made…
Now to the service:
Like the next one!
The weather wasn’t being too kind, so instead of the Country Park we decided to go straight to the Crawfordsburn Inn. Of course, as soon as we made that decision the clouds cleared for a moment or two and we got some outdoor stuff - even got the car hood down!
I cannot believe it’s the end of January and I’m only blogging this now! Have had these edited since before Christmas but just never got around to posting them on here…
In my opinion, the New Irish concert is the official start to Christmas. Its such a great night (if you haven’t been then go to http://www.newirisharts.com/ for more info).
Apart from being a great night of music, I bumped in to no less than 5 of my wedding customers! Even better, running up and down the stairs at the Ulster Hall was good exercise before the Christmas dinners started .
Ok, so here’s a few photos, starting with the conductor Jonathan Rea.
Michael & Stacey’s wedding definetly wins the award for the handiest wedding for me – the brides preparations and the church are literally round the corner!
The weather may have been wild – but it was a really nice wedding. I knew me and Stacey would get on ok when I saw the red poster on her wall:
The grandparents anxiously waiting on the bride returning from the hair dressers
Now to the church in Carrickfergus..
Rosspark always brings back memories as it’s where I got married
It was a privilege to be invited back to the Monaghan household for another big occassion! Kathryn & Philip where the first of my weddings the week after Christmas. You do so much running around at weddings – its was a good way to work off the Christmas dinner(s).
So here’s a few photos:
Now to the chapel. Mr Monaghan’s expression just makes me laugh in the next one – I’ve included the more sensible one below it for good measure
Galgorm!
The bridesmaids where very classy indeed..
Love the next 3:
The red against white is really striking – perfect for this time of year. The room at the Galgorm was beautifully decorated – really amazing.
Neil & Claire’s wedding was nice and wintry. The closest thing to a white wedding this year! I’m going through a wee spell of having seriously awesome couples who are very easy to work with – and this one was no exception!
Here’s a few photos:
Below: colour co-ordinating your bedroom around the bouquet – shows dedication
Below: 2 flowergirls or 3?
Slippy roads – good job they had plenty of horse power
Now to the Galgorm:
Wasn’t sure whether or not to blog the next one – but its one of those photos that makes me smile – so it passes the test
Love the sunset light in the next few:
Below: I got one of these done – i’ll stick it on my facebook in the next few days. Will make you laugh!
Anytime Claire & Neil are together there’s fireworks! Neil organised these as a surprise. So how did he lure everyone outside at 8pm in freezing temperatures? He told them the photographer was taking a group photo! They must have thought I was a complete plunker – but shortly thereafter all was revealed!
Robert & Fiona’s wedding was great. Its strange how when you are enjoying a wedding it hardly seems like work at all. Castle Leslie is a great venue too – this was the first time I had been there in winter..
Ok so lets start with the brides preparations. You will notice I had been doing so well at not posting shoe pictures on the blog. Fiona has gone and ruined that – back to shoe therapy
One of the bridesmaids getting ready:
And now for the bride. Lovely bride – and love the light in these too!
A few from the chapel:
And now to Castle Leslie where these scones greeted us .. hmmm….. Good bridesmaids can really make the day. They can be a real help and provide lots of banter! Don’t really show many bridesmaids photos on the blog, so for a change I thought I’d show you all three!
The next one makes me laugh
So by now it was getting fairly late and growing darker by the moment. It was kinda cold so I thought my outdoor photos had come to a close. Thing is, I hadn’t been down to the boat house which is my fave location at Castle Leslie. So I gave the guys the options of indoor photos or boathouse – and amazed when Fiona wanted the boathouse! Happy days, and hopefully these next photos where worth the extra 10mins in the cold
Below: its important to keep abreast of the stockmarkets and current affairs
I’d say the cake topper is very much Robert & Fiona’s sense of humour
I need to take the studio Christmas tree down today . Editing Conan & Stephanie’s wedding didn’t help – it was a wee reminder of Christmas and that season.
Well enough of my reminiscing, here’s a few photos from this lovely wedding..
Was slightly worried for my lens during this Champagne moment
Next one is a little abstract – but I like it!
The radiant bride..
Now over to Cabra Castle. Was blowing a gale – but they braved it for a few minutes! Think it was worth it!
(actually the photo below right was taken in the church – like it a lot)
Here comes the Christmassy photo:
And finally its always welcome to see the groom getting a bit of a hard time during the speeches lol
It’s hard to believe its a month since Gary & Eithna’s wedding – Christmas just went past so quick.
Gary & Eithna’s day was great craic. They got married just a few miles from where my wife used to live – all the best women must come from there . And great to be back in Corick House too!
Here’s a few photos:
Love the next one:
The following was at Ardboe Cross…
And then to Corick:
Lovely natural couple:
The cufflinks are Boston Bruins – the ice-hockey team I used to go and see when I was living in Boston. Nostalgia
Love the cake which was a surprise for Gary!
Make an entrance in style:
I just noticed this verse, inscribed on one of Darren & Rhona’s wedding candles:
Love is patient, love is kind,
Love never fails.
And indeed love was never far away at Darren & Rhona’s wedding! Hopefully i’ve been able to capture just a weee bit of that in the photos – let’s take a look, starting with the very beautiful wedding invitation:
But enough about the invites, Rhona looked amazing:
Now for the service – there are loads of pictures but think these next few are a good summary:
Manor House is a great venue. It was rather cold (understatement) so took quite a few indoors – but not better place
