Jaimie & Judith: Harvey’s Point, Donegal

September 27th, 2011

My Sat Nav has heart failure everytime I enter Donegal. If just won’t work. I’m considering giving it a bypass to the trash can. So I always leave loads of spare time when entering Donegal – just incase I can’t find the house. Turns out Judith’s house was dead easy to find courtesy of a new bridge the Irish government built just for my ease of transport (very kind of them). Didn’t want to arrive tooo early so I stopped along the way to take a wee landscape or two…(if you are on my facebook you’ll have seen this one already)…

So a beautiful place…I can only think of a really cheesy link to the wedding photos – so I’m going to avoid that :-) . Suffice to say, I really enjoyed the day – and here’s a few photos:

I totally love this old Church of Ireland sign. Looks hand painted. I didn’t put it in the album mockup – but still think its kinda cool! Imagine the hassle when the rector changes!

Ok – the bride and her Dad arriving at the church…

Love these car photos taken at the church:

Of course by the time we reached Harvey’s Point it was raining! So Glad Jaimie and Judith grabbed an umbrella and braved the elements…

And totally love the yellow wall photo below:

After the service we went to See House. I love this wee photo shot through the bushes:

Stephen & Louise – Ballygally Castle

September 16th, 2011

I met Louise & Stephen at a wedding last year and was delighted when they booked me for their big day. They are a great couple – and it was a very nice wedding.

So here’s a few photos:

Time for a wee dance and a sisterly hug…

The reception was in the Ballygally Castle Hotel, a venue I really like..

Love these next few…

Not sure if the next photo was taken in Ballygally or Beverly Hills :-)

So it wasn’t long until the ‘L’ plate got produced. Funny thing was that someone stuck it to my reflector. Naturally I forgot all about it – until I unknowingly produced it at the next wedding to everyones great amusement :-)

I sometimes do a running picture just for fun. The instructions are really simple: ‘run and don’t fall!’. This one didn’t go exactly to plan :-)

Ok back to the romance – love these final two:

John & Lori – Clarion Hotel Carrickfergus

September 14th, 2011

It’s always great to do a wedding in your home town – so it was great to do a wedding in Carrickfergus again. Lori & John had super weather – the castle was looking well :-)

Here’s a few photos:

Above: These are Brilliant.

Below: When I was preparing these photos for the blog I thought I’d go back through and remove one of the next four as they are so similar. But I just can’t choose which is best – so hey, here are all 4!

Now to Shaftesbury Park in Carrick:

And finally, I had already taken the ‘safe’ first dance photo, so I had a wee bit of a play about. Here’s two slightly different ones…

Johnny & Emma – Lusty Beg Island

September 12th, 2011

As I gingerly maneouvered the Skoda onto the Boat at Lusty Beg Island I couldn’t help but think that one of the last times I got a boat to a wedding was my very first in Edinburgh! Quite some time ago now and how things have changed :-)

I was looking forward to this wedding at Lusty Beg – its always fun to do new venues. And an outdoor wedding too!! The couple were great craic, one of the bridesmaids almost fainted at my feet (who wouldn’t!? **) – and the day just flew by. The weather was really lovely too!

Here’s a few photos:

This next photo made my heart leap. It’s not often that I fall for a trick – but I sure did fall for this one. The wedding ceremony took place on a Jetty type thing – which is a bit like decking only a lot nicer. As the bestman got the rings out from his pocket, all we could hear was one of the rings bouncing off the decking. There are big gaps between the wood – so I was sure the ring was in the water. Of course, the bestman was actually having a wee laugh – it was just a keyring which he dropped – sure did fool us all!

** just incase you think I’m very vane – that was me being sarchastic :-)

Chris & Caroline – Culloden Hotel

September 8th, 2011

As I edited Chris & Caroline’s wedding it was clearly evident that they were in love and enjoying themselves – lots of smiles all round! It actually had been a while since I was in the Culloden – so it was nice to be back..

Here’s a few photos:

Ok – so yesterday on the blog we had Joey the parrot. Today we have Mr.Sooty the chimney sweep – my job is certainly never boring!! :-) :-)

Love the next one – taken on the beach at the Culloden:

David & Eilleen’s Wedding at Belfast Castle

September 6th, 2011

Well I headed down the road to Dumaness and then up to Belfast Castle for Eileen & David’s wedding. Nice wedding…

Heres some photos (starting with the coolest invite ever!):

Now, anyone that knows me well would know that I’m not exactly a lover of animals. A dog maybe, but birds are a definite no-go. So imagine my surprise when the brides father asked for a photo with the bouquet and his parrot Joey. “It won’t come anywhere near you” he assured me. 10 seconds later, the darn thing (Mr.Cassidy if you are reading this thats a term of endearment towards Joey) had perched on my head and wouldn’t budge!! :-) Certainly an interesting start to the day! lol :-)

The next photo (on left) is a little friendly ‘revenge’ for the bird incident! lol :-)
The room looked great. Ok so I might not like birds, but I really really love lego. Its such a class toy and we’ve got loads of it kicking around my parents house. Gets brought out every Christmas. But who ever knew that lego could be so versatile – now we have lego bride & grooms! Great! :-)
