Above: I quite like this naturally high-key picture, taken in an archway at Castlearchdale. So to round up theres a bit of a funny story to this wedding. When Caroline booked me she’d just been to the dentist and had her mouth frozen. So on my booking form I’d put down Ruffell instead of Russell. Just assuming he was from Italy or somewhere, I called him Ruffell for ages before I realised what had happened !

I can hardly believe that the Tullyglass Hotel hasn’t featured on this blog before as it’s a popular venue. This was a really nice, relaxed wedding – here are a few pics.

Above: I always seem to post the more serious pictures on this blog, but in reality I take lots of relaxed and fun ones too. So thought this little picture for the thank-you cards was a good, fun idea.

Above: I just included this as a little tip. A picture of your invitation can be a nice shot to take at the brides house. This one is very symbolic – the King and Queen coming together …***

***….i hope you didn’t buy that stuff about the King & Queen- I just thought it looked nice sitting on the old chess board

Above: The weather was incredible! Hail Stones, rain followed by bright sun light! But it did eventually dry up – the umbrella actually adds to this photo…

Inside the church!

On the left: I’m not actually the biggest fan of sepia colour – but I think I’m maybe changing my mind!! The last few albums have had sepia pages in them – brides seem to like it and I have to say it gives a very timeless feel.

Haven’t done this photo before – think I’ll do it again in the future!

I knew John & Joanne’s wedding would be good fun – myself and Kelly (you haven’t met Kelly yet – but I’ll introduce her to you soon) had taken a few engagement photos in Carnfunnock a few months back and we both had a good time. It turned out to be my first all-wet wedding of 2010, but the weather certainly didn’t dampen the craic and the whole thing was a pleasure…

So here are a few of the photos:

Above: Now this could possibly be my favourite picture of the first quarter in 2010. Thats saying something given all the snow etc we had – but it’s great when you get to do something a bit different – and Kells Presbyterian church rose to the occasion!

This particular day started with rain – but the weather picked up in the afternoon. Sinclair Seamen’s church is great inside.

Above: The classic Ballygally picture. I actually did a photograph a few weeks back from the other side of the archway – which I hope to post soon.

Above: the stormy weather had washed up tonnes (and I mean tonnes) of seaweed onto the beach – so unfortunately we couldn’t take photos on the sand. With a little improvisation, we got quite a few good photographs with the amazing scenery in the background. I thought I’d post the most different one – which was on the steps onto the beach.

Above: And finally, one idea which Heather had which I thought was really nice, was to have a picture taken in her Mum’s wedding dress! I’m sure that will have been a lovely surprise for her mother.

So with the wedding season pretty much kicked off, here are a few pictures from a recent wedding. (watch this space for more – but the couples aren’t back from honeymoon yet!). Alastair & Judith’s wedding kicked off at Judith’s house where we got some interesting pictures at her grand-father’s Massey Ferguson! Then over to Maze Presbyterian, Lisburn , Antrim Castle Gardens and The Rosspark Hotel, Kells.
